Digital Adventure 1

My first digital adventure started at a website that entailed lots of different conspiracy websites, I found myself on a website called ‘conspiracy planet’ where I found a range of different theories and articles.

The article I was initially faced with an article about child trafficking and MK-ULTRA mind control, which entailed detailed descriptions of a personal recount of child trafficking including rape, torture and more, Whether these recounts are true are to the viewer to decide. The article also talks about devil worship and other ‘unholy’ groups that are in power. It links this with the CIA and MK-ULTRA which was a supposed ‘mind control’ scheme across America.

After this I decided to research more into MK-ULTRA and found an article about someone’s real experience with it. I also found a documentary ‘The CIA’s Secret Experiments’. These true stories are terrifying if they are true which they seem to be.

Digital Adventure 2

For my second adventure I looked into the community of incels or ‘involuntary celibates’. I went onto incels.net where I made an account to look at the forums. I found multiple forums where men were both hating women and hating themselves. It was genuinely sad to see. I became more and more interested in one certain user named ‘brokendog45’ who spouted so much hate onto the site.

I also saw some racist comments that I will not post here. I found it interesting that the site accommodated for people of different political and social beliefs being ‘bluepilled’ ‘redpilled’ and ‘blackpilled’. I went on to other sites such as incels.co which enlightened me on lots of terminology such as ‘tallfag’ and ‘manlet’, these homophobic terms angered me and really made me sickened however they also made me quite upset that a group of people feel so isolated that they would turn to hatred.

Along this same line of research I ran into some old YouTube videos of a man named Elliot Rodger who created some videos on the site talking about women and how he can never be loved right before he went on a killing spree.

Digital Adventure 3

For my third adventure I looked into the world off Alien Conspiracy, I started on a website called Space.com where I found an article about thee recent release of information from the CIA detailing images of UFO images. I then look on a real alien news website named ‘webeliveinaliens.com’ were an article about the Norse gods peaked my interest it stated that Thor was given alien technology e.g his hammer. I find this really funny, it was basically stating that the Norse gods were real because they were really just alien agents. 

After this I found a documentary called ‘Ancient Aliens’ which goes through different ‘unexplainable’ encounters. The show has been called racist due to one of the creators may racially charged questions such as ‘ Was the black race a failure?’ And his constant referral to black people as the ‘negroid race’.

Digital Adventure 4

For my 4th adventure I wanted to look into cults so I started on a website that linked me to lots of different websites for different cults, active and inactive. One that caught my eye was a cult named ‘Heavens Gate’. 

This was a cult that famously had a joint suicide event where they would ‘become the evolutionary level above human’ and enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I waded through verses and verses of quotes from what seems to be their version of the bible. They seem to believe that aliens or another version of us create us and we are destined to evolve to them. When clicking around the website I also found this page showing what they could look like.

I also found a string of videos on YouTube  that was like an initiation into the cult showing their infamous leader who led the many people to die in mass suicide. The videos are very creepy and stand out to me having hindsight on what happened.

Digital Adventure 5

For my 5th adventure I was looking around for more internet communities and found a vampire community on vampire website.net. The website is run by a guy called Steve and it has many different pages that detail how to find out you are a vampire and more.

The site takes it self very seriously detailing who is allowed on the website. What I found really interesting on the website was the pis one page titled ‘Letter from a real slayer’, it was a page that showed a slayer and a vampire being friends. And showed images of the slayers knife. 

I found it very strange to have a glimpse into someone’s real life, seeing their desk and their things. I also found this part of the website very amusing.

Funny to think that even vampires, who are known for being immortal and powerful, can still get COVID.

Digital Adventure 6

For this digital adventure I was looking around websites to do with weird habits people have on Reddit and went down a hole of different online communities for weird fetishes and habits and that’s when I came across a website about chewing on ice.

I clicked on the ‘stories’ tab and it brought me to hundreds and hundreds of threads with people’s ice chewing stories. These people are addicted to chewing on ice and get lots of pleasure from doing so.

The thread that stuck out to me the most on this page was the ‘WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE NO MORE ICE’ thread. I just love the fact that there’s these people who I genuinely stressed about not having enough ice to chew on. The replies are hilarious, one user says ‘ I dropped the cup and the ice flew in all directions I quickly scrambled on my knees trying to collect every piece, the terrible bit is that some pieces had gathered cat hair on them and two pieces landed in the kitty litter box right on top of some fresh doings. This is the most shameful thing I have even done but it was all the ice I had left so I picked it up and give it a rinse under the tap but I could only rinse it for a sec as I couldn't afford it to melt on me. After I run it through the water I quickly popped it in my mouth and crunched down on it swallowing as quick as I could. I'm sure if anyone understands its you guys.’

Throughout the website I also found a lot of people on the site have anaemia and apparently craving ice is one of the symptoms. I saw countless posts about how people don’t care about it and just want to eat ice instead.
